What is Your Jewelry Collection Worth?

If you have suffered the loss of a loved one, you understand there is so much to take care of.

I work with several professionals who specialize in helping with decluttering a home, relocation, and moving family members into assisted living. Additionally, I help families to prepare their estate items for distribution and sale.

One such professional reached out to me to help with her client in appraising and selling her mother's jewelry. She had three large dresser drawers filled with all types of pieces. She sorted through most of it, and I was asked to evaluate the gold from the silver from the costume.

Some of the pieces I sold

I took several items and brought them to one of my auction houses. Most of these pieces sold at an auction in November. The watches were marked as "very-fine time pieces," but when they were evaluated, we realized they were immitations!

Unfortunately, I have found this in several estates recently. When I evaluate time pieces before bringing them to auction, I'm able to determine their true value.

Some of the items that I couldn't share with an auction house were brought to an estate buyer. He bought silver, gold, and costume jewelry.

The process of going from auction house to estate buyers to collectors can take time, but in the end we receive the higher value for your jewelry.

TIP: Working with a seasoned professional who has multiple connections in the fine jewelry industry can help you receive the best value for your estate.

Any questions? I'd love to help you.
